BTS V's OST

SBS Monday-Tuesday drama ‘Our Beloved Summer‘ OST ‘Christmas Tree,’ in which V, a member of the top idol group BTS (RM Jin, Jimin, J-Hope, Suga, V, Jungkook), participated in the singing, is also raging on the Billboard Vietnam Hot 100 chart.

V’s ‘Christmas Tree’ ranked 31st on the Billboard Vietnam Hot 100 latest chart released as of February 10 (KST).

With this, ‘Christmas Tree’ has become the longest Korean OST song to make it to the Billboard Vietnam Hot 100 chart. With this chart-in, ‘Christmas Tree’ has been charting in for five weeks.

Before this, ‘Christmas Tree’ ranked 183rd on the latest Billboard Global (excluding the US) chart, succeeding in its fifth cumulative chart-in.

Christmas Tree‘ ranked 92nd three weeks ago, 97th on the chart two weeks ago, and 174th on the previous week at the time of re-entry. It continued to reach a new record for achieving the most ranked Kpop male solo artists on the Billboard Global 200 (excluding the US).

‘Christmas Tree’ is an impressive song with BTS V’s low and sweet voice on top of a soft acoustic guitar melody. V’s minimal instrument composition and emotional vocals are impressive. The song first appeared as vinyl in Choi Woong’s (Wooshik Choi) studio in the first episode of ‘Our Beloved Summer.’

It played through a number of major melodic scenes of Choi Woong and Yeonsu (played by Dami Kim).

Christmas Tree‘ entered the Billboard Hot100 chart on January 8, 2022, becoming the first Korean OST to enter the Billboard Hot100 char. Also, it is the third song on the Billboard Hot100 chart among BTS members’ own solo song history. It broke the highest debut ranking since Psy, ranking 29th on the Billboard Japan Hot100 chart.
