Youngwoong Lim Dominates Three Gaon Charts In January With His First OST

On the Gaon Chart in January, MeloMance Minseok Kim and ENHYPEN took first place on the digital and album charts, respectively. Kpop singer Youngwoong Lim also took first place on three Gaon charts.

The Korea Music Contents Association, which operates the Gaon Chart, said, “In January 2022, Minseok Kim’s ‘Drunken Confession’ took the first place on the digital chart on the monthly Gaon Chart. Then, ENHYPEN’s ‘DIMENSION: ANSWER’ took the first place on the album chart.”

ENHYPEN’s ‘DIMENSION: ANSWER,’ released on January 10, topped the monthly album chart in January with sales of 723,478 copies.

Seungyoon Lee’s ‘The Giving Tree,’ the OST of ‘Our Beloved Summer,’ took first place in the download chart. On the streaming chart, Sokodomo’s ‘Merry-go-round (Feat. Zion.T, Wonstein)(Prod. Slom)’ took the top spot. In fact, it has ranked number one for two months in a row.

Kpop singer Youngwoong Lim took the top spot on the ringtone and coloring charts for four months in a row. Then, he topped the karaoke chart with ‘Love Always Runs away,’ ranking on three Gaon charts.

Also, in Social Chart 2.0, where you can intuitively check the global popularity of KPop, BTS has maintained the top spot for 11 consecutive months. In MyCelebs, the keywords for the charm of BTS were ‘harmony,’ ‘popularity,’ and ‘long run.’

The artist that showed the biggest rise in rankings on the social charts in January was NCT DREAM.

In the 6th week, on the Gaon Chart, Minseok Kim’s ‘Drunken Confession’ took first place on the digital, streaming, and karaoke charts, ranking on three charts. Then, ITZY’s ‘CRAZY IN LOVE’ ranked first on the album chart.

In the download category, the Gaon’s Platinum-certified is Red Velvet’s ‘Power Up. Also, in the streaming category, the Triple Platinum-certified is Anne Marie ‘2002’ and Platinum-certified is Mujin Lee’s ‘Traffic Light.’
