A charity auction will take place on January 30, 2022, to raise funds for music care for charity organizations at the Recording Academy, said Julien’s Auctions, an American auction company. The Recording Academy is the one that organizes the Grammy Awards.
The main entry list released by Julien’s Auctions attracts attention. It includes a Louis Vuitton suit that BTS wore when performing ‘Dynamite’ at the 63rd Grammy Awards in March this year and three Louis Vuitton rings that J-Hope wore on the same performannce.
BTS became a nominee for the first time as an Asian artist at this year’s Grammy Awards and received global attention by presenting solo performances.
Julien’s Auctions called BTS the icon of pop in the 21st century. Mainly, they introduced J-Hope’s ring as another excellent BTS work. The ring consists of a gold twisted double band, a triple green jewel single band sterling silver ring, and a spiral gold sterling silver ring.
The charity auction will take place ahead of next year’s Grammy Awards. They will use the proceeds to support programs for the health and welfare of musicians whose income has decreased due to COVID-19. In addition to BTS, costumes from Dolly Parton and Katie Perry will also be up for auction.
BTS submitted clothes, hats, and shoes worn in the music video of ‘Dynamite.’
Also, the members submitted their microphones, which they used at their 2020 concerts. This year’s charity auctions sold it for 97 million won and 180 million won, respectively.
