Mat Hoffman made a career out of attempting and pulling off amazing feats and tricks such as jumping over a 3,500-foot Norwegian cliff, the 900, Flip faki, and Flair. He is credited as the first person to land a double peg grind down a handrail as documented in 1991's "Head First" video. Hoffman is responsible for building the sport of BMX for decades providing support along the way for some of the biggest names in the industry such as Dave Mirra, Kevin Robinson, Jay Miron, Seth Kimbrough, and Chad Kagy. Mat and his team took part in the 1996 Summer Olympic Games closing ceremonies. He has earned silver and bronze medals at the X Games. He was also elected President of the International BMX Freestyle Federation in 2005. In that same year, he started the Mat Hoffman Action Sports Park in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, which has been recognized as one of the top parks of its kind in the nation.
