Kpop band DAY6 member Wonpil raised attention by showing various facial expressions in the music video of his solo debut song. Wonpil will release his first full-length album, ‘Pilmography’ at 6 pm on February 7 and make his debut as a solo artist. Before this, at midnight on February 4, he released the MV teaser for the title song ‘Voiceless’ on the official social media channel and showed off its unique sensitivity.
Wonpil in the teaser directly expressed a romantic mood and a sad atmosphere, raising expectations for the complete music video. It presented a wider range of expressive power, such as reminiscing on the beautiful days of the past while drenched in water and conveying pathetic emotions. The immersion level was raised with the mournful lyrics of “I love you, I say I love you,” which resonates with the gentle melody.
Wonpil said, “It helped me a lot in expressing my emotions through acting activities such as musicals and web dramas. When I was filming the emotional scene for this ‘Voiceless’ music video, my heart ached even more. It was difficult. I’m glad that I have an understanding about these emotions,” expressing his feelings about acting in the music video.
Wonpil’s 1st full-length solo album ‘Pilmography’ will be out on February 7. It is a word created by combining the words WONPIL and filmography. In his first solo album, Wonpil recorded the music filmography and unrivaled sensibility he had built up with DAY6 and unit DAY6 (Even of Day) in his first solo album. Wonpil wrote and composed the lyrics for the title song ‘Voiceless.’
Then, DAY6 member Young K and lyricist Jisang Hong, who had been working on the song for a long time, joined forces. It is a ballad genre song that combines waltz and blues with a rhythm that matches the rising flow and a magnificent arrangement.
Following the release of his solo album, Wonpil will hold a solo concert, ‘Pilmography,’ for three days from March 11 to 13. Wonpil has built up his stage skills through numerous performances with the ‘Kpop representative bands’ DAY6 and DAY6 (Even of Day). He plans to present spring energy with a warm tone and build precious memories with the audience. He will reveal details of the performance at a later date.
