Reality Fame
In January 2006, Nicole made her reality TV debut when she appeared as a cast member of the first season of "Flavor of Love." The show was an indirect spinoff of "The Surreal Life," where rapper Flavor Flav began a romantic relationship with actress Brigitte Nielsen. They subsequently starred in their own reality series called "Strange Love," which aired one season between January 2005 and April 2005.
Upon Flavor and Brigitte's breakup, the reality dating series "Flavor of Love," was conceived. On the series, twenty women, including Nicole, lived together in a mansion in Encino, California while vying for the rapper's love. Each woman was given a nickname by Flavor Flav because he apparently has trouble remembering names otherwise. He gave Nicole the nickname "Hoopz" because she is a former basketball player. After 11 episodes, Flavor chose Hoopz as the winner of the series, which meant she won his heart. They apparently did date briefly, but broke up not long after the series ended.
In 2008, Nicole appeared on a second reality series, "I Love Money." She defeated Joshua "Whiteboy" Gallander in the final challenge and won a $250,000 prize.
Personal Life
Nicole dated retired NBA star Shaquille O'Neal from 2010 to 2013. They were at one point engaged. Shaq towered over Hoopz. He is 7 foot 1. She is 5 foot 2.
