Beth Shak became somewhat nationally infamous in 2012 when he ex-husband filed a lawsuit in which he claimed she hid the value of her shoe collection during their divorce proceedings several years prior. As we detail in a moment, the collection reportedly contained 1,200 pairs of designer heels and was apparently valued at $1 million. Personal Life
Beth and hedge fund manager Daniel Shak divorced in 2009.
In Jun 2016 she married journalist Rick Leventhal in Las Vegas. She filed for divorce in April 2017, citing irreconcilable differences.
Shoe Collection
In 2011, Beth earned headlines when she went public in several interviews about her shoe collection, notably a 2011 segment on the "Today Show." The collection purportedly featured over 1,200 pairs of extremely high-end shoes. These interviews took place around three years after she filed for divorce from Daniel Shak. That's significant because upon learning about the shoe collection, Daniel proceeded to sue Beth claiming he was entitled to 35% of the collections value. And while that may not seem like a big deal at first, Daniel further alleged that the collection was worth $1 million. Beth Shak's shoe collection at that time reportedly contained 500 combined pairs of Yves Saint Laurent pumps, Manolo Blahnik heels, Lanvin flats and Jimmy Choos. Most significantly, her collection featured 700 pairs of red-soled Christian Louboutins. One pair apparently was worth $4,000 on its own. She reportedly has a tattoo of the famous Louboutin heel in an intimate area and is such a frequent buyer that she is invited to special-order pre-sale events.
Daniel further claimed that Beth owned the collection while they were married and hid them from him in a secret room in their former $7.5 million Manhattan apartment. In a response, Beth claimed to be dumbfounded because the shoes were kept in the closet in their master bedroom.
