JYP Entertainment has released a group photo of seven members of the new girl group NMIXX. JYP posted the first group teaser photo of NMIXX’s debut single ‘AD MARE’ on social media on February 8. Confident poses and intense looks staring at the camera attract attention.
JYP introduced, “The mysterious space in the photo where NMIXX, who is standing in the real world, and the unknown world in which various marine creatures, including jellyfish, float, condense their debut concept.”
JYP Entertainment, led by singer and producer Jinyoung Park, is popular as a ‘girl group fame.’
Girl groups such as Wonder Girls, Miss A, TWICE, and ITZY succeeded one after another.
NMIXX is a 7-member girl group that JYP has released for the first time in 3 years since ITZY. It consists of Lily, Haewon, Sullyoon, Jinni, BAE, Jiwoo, and Kyujin.
The team name is a compound word of the letter ‘N,’ which means now, new, next, and unknown, and the word ‘MIX,’ which symbolizes combination and diversity. JYP Entertainment explained that it means ‘the best combination to take responsibility for a new era.’
The debut title, ‘OO,’ symbolizes wide-open eyes in surprise and an exclamation of ‘Oh!’
It contains the strong confidence of NMIXX to prepare to be surprised by seeing something new.
NMIXX will release its debut single, ‘Ad Mare’ at 6:00 pm on February 22.
