BTS members who are on individual vacation are also unable to avoid the spread of the new coronavirus infection.

According to BIGHIT Music, on February 15, V visited the hospital Tuesday afternoon, February 15, after experiencing a mild sore throat and took the PCR test. He tested positive for COVID-19 tonight.”

The agency said, “BTS V completed two rounds of COVID-19 vaccinations and is not presenting any extraordinary symptoms other than a mild fever and sore throat. He is currently undergoing treatment at home while waiting for further guidelines from the health care authorities. There was contact with the other members on February 12, but everyone was wearing a mask, and there was no close contact. None of the BTS members other than V are presenting any symptoms, and everyone received negative results from the preemptive self-tests.”

Earlier, BTS members Suga, RM, and Jin, who returned from a concert and award ceremony in Los Angeles, USA, in December last year, and Jimin in January last month, tested positive for COVID-19.

On December 24 of last year, BIGHIT Music said, “BTS member SUGA tested positive for COVD-19 on December 24 during his self-quarantine after taking the PCR test immediately upon his return to Korea on December 23.”

According to the agency, BTS SUGA, who has had a number of personal engagements in the US during BTS’ official time off, had tested negative for the PCR test taken before leaving the US. He began his self-quarantine after taking the PCR test upon his return to Korea. He received positive results during quarantine, and there was no contact with the other members.

Since then, on December 2, 2021, BIGHIT announced, “After returning on December 17 from the US following his personal schedule as part of his official vacation period, BTS RM immediately underwent PCR testing. He tested negative and entered into self-quarantine in his home as mandated by COVID-19 control procedures. However, he underwent PCR testing today before his scheduled release from quarantine and the result came out positive. He is currently exhibiting no particular symptoms.”

Then, “BTS Jin returned to Korea on December 6. He underwent PCR testing immediately after his return and again before his release from self-quarantine. The results came out negative on both occasions. However, feeling flu-like symptoms this afternoon, he underwent PCR testing and was found positive for COVID-19 late this evening. He is exhibiting mild symptoms including slight fever and is undergoing self-treatment at home.”

As a result, Suga, RM, and Jin were treated at home. BTS Suga recovered from COVID-19 on January 3. Then, RM and Jin have concluded their quarantine on January 4. Suga and RM had no special symptoms, and Jin had mild symptoms such as a mild fever at the beginning of treatment. But, he also made a full recovery.

Also, BTS Jimin tested positive for COVID-19 on January 31. According to the agency, on January 30, Jimin felt a mild sore throat and sudden abdominal pain. He visited the hospital emergency room, and he tested positive for COVID-19. At the same time, the doctors diagnosed Jimin with acute appendicitis, and underwent surgery. Jimin, hospitalized after surgery, left the hospital and was released from quarantine after receiving a negative PCR test on February 5.

As a result, BTS members RM, Suga, Jin, and Jimin, who have been on an official long vacation since December last year, have tested positive for COVID and recovered from it. Currently, BTS V, diagnosed with Covid-19, has started home treatment. BTS plans to hold the ‘BTS Permission to Dance on Stage’ concert in Seoul in March.
