The Kpop group BTS will wrap up their face-to-face concert after waiting for about two years.
BTS will perform the last concert of the ‘BTS Permission to Dance on Stage – LA’ at Sofi Stadium in Los Angeles, USA, on December 2 (US time).
BTS completed their concert on November 27 and 28 at the same place. Unlike the three previous performances, the last day will also be broadcast live online.
About 50,000 people gathered per day of the concert. Accordingly, a total of 200,000 people gathered for a total of four performances over four days.
This concert drew attention as an offline performance resumed about two years after the ‘2019 BTS World Tour Love Yourself: Speak Yourself [The Final]’ held by BTS in Seoul in 2019.
In the second performance on November 28, Megan Thee Stallion, who participated in featuring the remix version of ‘Butter,’ appeared as a surprise guest.
There was a festive atmosphere all over Los Angeles. Koreatown, where you can experience Korean culture, was full of foreigners. Mainly, several people shared photos saying that Jin, a member of BTS, had been to 101.5 Phoenix’s ‘Morning Mess.’
Also, some people saw Jin at the ‘Ahgassi Gopchang’ mentioned during an interview backstage at the ‘American Music Awards’ in 2017.
BTS also set a new record for this performance. Christy Castillo Butcher, programming and reservation manager at Sofi Stadium, which opened last year, said, “For the first time in the history of Sofi Stadium, BTS has sold out all four performances. They also recorded the most ticket sales among solo bands or artists’ performances held at Sofi Stadium.”
BTS will join the 2021 Jingle Ball Tour, the largest local year-end tour held by iHeartRadio, the largest radio network in the US, from December 3 after their LA concert.
After that, BTS will return to Korea. However, the government’s new overseas self-quarantine measures will surely disrupt their domestic year-end schedule. The government has decided that all Koreans and foreigners entering Korea for two weeks from December 3 should be quarantined for ten days regardless of whether they are vaccinated or not.
Accordingly, Kpop group BTS is unlikely to be active in Korea for the time being.
