The Kpop group Weki Meki has entered the global chart. Once again, they showed their great presence. According to global music streaming platform iTunes on November 19, Weki Meki’s fifth mini-album, ‘I AM ME,’ released on November 18, entered the top album charts in 18 regions.
Notably, they ranked in 10 countries and regions, ranking 2nd in Malaysia and Vietnam, 3rd in Indonesia, Philippines, Romania, and Thailand, 7th in Hong Kong and Mexico, 9th in Luxembourg, and 10th in Taiwan.
The title song ‘Siesta’ ranked 7th on the real-time chart of Bugs, a domestic music site, shortly after its release. Then, it entered the iTunes top song chart in five countries, including Vietnam, Romania, Portugal, Thailand, and Malaysia.
In addition, according to Hanteo Chart, Korea’s largest album sales aggregation site, it ranked third on the daily album chart.
‘I AM ME,’ introduced by Weki Meki, which marks its fourth debut anniversary this year, conveys all its members’ experiences during their 20s. It is an album in which members participate in planning, writing, and composing.
Mainly, ‘Siesta’ is a pop genre song choreographed by team Lachica. Weki Meki showed point choreography and sharp group dance through V LIVE and the online short-form video platform TikTok Challenge on the comeback day.
Kpop group Weki Meki will continue its activities starting with KBS 2TV’s ‘Music Bank,’ which will air on the same day.
