Early Life
Natasha Bedingfield was born Natasha Anne Bedingfield on November 26, 1981, in Haywards Heath, West Sussex, England. She is the daughter of social workers John and Molly Bedingfield, and as a teenager, she formed The DNA Algorithm, a dance/electronic group, with her siblings Daniel and Nikola. Natasha also has a brother named Joshua. When Bedingfield was 14 years old, she sang on the Origin album "Refined Intricacy." She studied psychology at the University of Greenwich for a year, then she dropped out to focus on her music career. Solomon underwent brain surgery in 2019, and Bedingfield wrote on Instagram, "Feeling gutted but also thank God that we live in a time of MRI where we are able to see into our own minds and for doctors who are wise enough to keep asking questions. He has an area of infection that somehow found its way into the brain. We are so grateful though that there is treatment for what Solo is experiencing and it is straight forward and has worked many times." Natasha is an ambassador for the charitable organization Global Angels, which was founded by her mother. Bedingfield got involved because she wanted to help "people around the world, particularly children, who live in conditions that would horrify us." In 2010, she visited a refugee camp in Mumbai, India, for children who had been rescued from prostitution, and she filmed video diaries during the trip. Natasha is a supporter of Stop the Traffik as well as the (RED) campaign, which raises money to fight HIV/AIDS.
