According to Billboard’s social media on February 21 (US time), ‘Stay Alive’ ranked 95th on the ‘Hot 100.’
BTS consistently ranks on the Hot 100.’
‘Dynamite,’ ‘Butter,’ ‘Permission to Dance,’ and ‘My Universe’ (in collaboration with Coldplay) took first place on the chart.
BTS also dominates the Hot 100 chart for the members’ solo songs. Previously, Suga’s ‘Daechwita’ took 76th place, J-Hope’s ‘Chicken Noodle Soup’ took 81st place, and V’s SBS TV ‘Our Beloved Summer’ OST ‘Christmas Tree’ took 79th place.
In addition, Suga ranked 29th with ‘Girl of My Dreams.’
It is a song from the album ‘Fighting Demons’ of the late American rapper Juice WRLD, in which he was the featured artist.
This time, Jungkook became the fifth BTS member to enter the ‘Hot 100’ with ‘Stay Alive.’
Separately, ‘Stay Alive’ took 8th place on ‘Billboard Global 200’ (excluding the US), another major chart on Billboard.
‘Stay Alive’ is the OST for the original HYBE story ‘7FATES: CHAKHO.’
It is a dreamy yet magnificent pop ballad that fits the story and atmosphere of ‘7Fates: Chakho.’
It depicts a battle between a human and a tiger in the background of a city in the near future.
For the synergy of the original story and song, Suga produced it based on the actual synopsis of ‘7Fates: Chakho.’
Reports said that Jungkook’s mournful vocals made the characters and stories in the story clearer.
‘Stay Alive,’ is a sentence that expresses as a mantra that ‘surviving’ somehow is precious and meaningful. It implicitly expresses the narratives of the seven main characters in the original story thrown into a harsh fate.
