BTS Suga’s first mixtape, ‘Agust D’ proved its popularity by achieving 187 million streams on Spotify.
BigHit Music’s first mixtape, ‘Agust D,’ released by Suga on August 16, 2016, under the name of Agust D, recorded 187 million streams on Spotify, the world’s largest music platform, on February 1 (KST).
‘Agust D’ includes the intro ‘Dt Suga (feat. DJ Friz),’ ‘Agust D,’ ‘give it to me,’ ‘skit,’ ‘724148,’ ‘140503 At dawn,’ ‘The Last,’ ‘Tony Montana (feat. Yankie),’ ‘Interlude: Dream, Reality,’ and ‘so far away (feat. SURAN).’
In an interview with a magazine, he revealed that he often writes his name as ‘DT Suga’ in the lyrics. ‘Agust D’ is simply DT SUGA written backwards. DT is an abbreviation for Daegu Town.
BTS Suga’s first mixtape ‘Agust D’ released in 2016 and the second mixtape ‘D-2’ released in 2020, surpassed 650 million streams on Spotify on January 8, showing a shining presence as a solo artist.
