The Kpop group Stray Kids took the top spot on the weekly album chart with their new single ‘Christmas EveL.’
So, Stray Kids is showing off a definite trending move.
Stray Kids’ holiday special single ‘Christmas EveL,’ released on November 29, ranked 1st on Hanteo’s Weekly Album Chart and Gaon’s 2021 Retail Album Weekly Chart.
Notably, with their 2nd full-length album, ‘NOEASY,’ released in August, they exceeded 1.27 million copies in the Gaon Chart as of October. They quickly became ‘Million-Selling Artists,’ followed by another strong performance on the album charts and ‘KPop album chart.’
So, Stray Kids has proven its status as a leader of the 4th generation.
Previously, the new album topped the iTunes album charts in 23 overseas regions as of 8:00 am on November 30. Also, the title song of the same name topped the iTunes song charts in 27 overseas regions. On November 29, on the Worldwide iTunes Album Chart, it ranked second, following world-famous pop star Adele.
The music video for the new song ‘Christmas EveL’ increased the satisfaction of global fans. Stray Kids’ charming points and a visual beauty full of year-end atmosphere impress the fans. It surpassed 30.3 million views on YouTube around 1 pm on December 8. The music video for the double title song ‘Winter Falls,’ which features a lyrical sensibility, was also prepared, giving fans double the pleasure.
Also, as of the afternoon of December 8, the music video for the 1st album title song ‘God’s Menu,’ considered a representative song of the ‘Mala-taste genre,’ surpassed 287 million views. It cruises towards the birth of Stray Kids’ first 300 million views music video.
Meanwhile, Kpop group Stray Kids took home the ‘Performance Of The Year’ award from the ‘2021 Asia Artis Awards’ held at KBS Arena Hall in Gangseo-gu, Seoul, on December 2. They won the grand prize ‘Performance Of The Year’ for the first time since their debut.
