Kpop singer Youngwoong Lim proved his undying popularity by climbing to the top of daily and weekly charts on Melon, the largest music platform in Korea, with ‘Love Always Runs Away.’
As of December 1, ‘Love Always Runs Away’ topped the Melon Chart OST daily and weekly charts.
Released on October 11, ‘Love Always Runs Away’ is a reinterpretation of Moonsae Lee’s song of the same name with Youngwoong’s unique sensibility. The song is the main theme song of the KBS 2TV weekend drama ‘Young Lady and Gentleman,’ increasing the immersion of the drama.
After its release, it ranked on major music platforms such as Melon and Genie, starting with No. 1 on Bugs. Since then, he topped 5 times on the Gaon Chart in October and topped the recently announced 47th week Gaon Chart Ringtone and Coloring Chart. So, he is ranking on the chart for six consecutive weeks.
Also, Youngwoong Lim showed global fandom power by winning two awards in the men’s solo artist category in the 2021 Asia Artist Awards vote in Korea and Japan.
