Actor and Kpop group WEi member Yohan Kim tested positive for COVID-19. So, the production decided to postpone the first broadcast of the drama ‘School 2021’ for a week.
KBS said in an official press release on November 14 said, “A supporting actor from KBS 2TV’s new Wednesday-Thursday drama ‘School 2021’ tested positive for COVID-19 on November 13. So, all members of the staff and cast immediately underwent a COVID-19 test. But, actor Yohan Kim tested positive. The other staff and cast all tested negative.”
The official continued, “WEi member and actor Yohan Kim is currently asymptomatic. It had been over two weeks since both the supporting actor and Yohan Kim received their second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. Also, there was no close contact between the two people. Anyone who came into close contact with the confirmed cases has entered self-quarantine according to the instructions of health authorities.”
“The production team continues to do its best for disease prevention through regular PCR tests and body temperature checks. So, we will keep a constant eye on the situation as we move forward so that there are no further issues.”
“We will postpone the first drama broadcast for a week, which will air on November 24. Also, the press conference will therefore also be pushed back a week,” the official explained.
Lastly, “We will do our best to prevent any other positive cases. We will ensure the safety of the cast and staff through preventative measures. Onc again, we apologize for causing concerns.”
