Melon Music Awards 2021 (MMA 2021), hosted by Kakao Entertainment (CEO Jinsoo Lee, Sungsoo Kim), will unveil its official teaser video and hold a full-fledged festival with an all-time MMA legend performance voting event.
Melon will release the Melon Music Awards 2021 teaser video from noon on November 3. It contains the slogan ‘NEXT MUSIC UNIVERSE,’ with the identity of MMA, which has become the epitome of the Kpop festival. It means ‘Artists, fans, you and I connected in an infinite dimension of the universe across time and space.’
Also, they will convey the message of MMA 2021 in a variety of colors and shapes in the video.

In line with the release of the teaser video, Melon will hold a voting event to select the legendary performance that fans want to see again since 2009. The voting event will run until November 14. It will surely be a time to examine the history of MMA, which has created numerous legendary performances. This time, they will further solidify the big trend of Kpop.
A total of 16 Kpop artists are part of the nominee list. It includes Girls’ Generation of MMA 2009, who performed ‘Tell Me Your Wish,’ IU of MMA 2017 who sang ‘Dear Name,’ BTS of MMA 2018, which captivated global music fans with stage production using hanbok-oriented costumes and traditional instruments as props, and Youngwoong Lim, who showed an excellent example of the non-face-to-face online performance.
On November 27, MMA will broadcast a special video consisting of voting rankings and legendary performance highlights on Melon and Kakao TV. In addition, they will give various prizes to 121 users who participated in the vote through a lottery. The prize includes the Apple Watch Series 7.

Melon Music Awards 2021 will surely capture global fans again as a master of Kpop awards. They will showcase a variety of events, including TOP10 and artist voting by category on November 8, ahead of its hosting on December 4.
