ICHILLIN Shares Their Hopes With The New Single ‘Fresh’ (Q&A)

Kpop group ICHILLIN

Rookie girl group ICHILLIN has made a comeback. ICHILLIN released its new single ‘FRESH‘ through various music sites at noon on November 11 and made a high-speed comeback after about two months.

‘Fresh‘ consists of refreshing and energetic lyrics full of the unique charm of ICHILLIN. It is a new-age urban dance genre with the theme of a bass riff and an addictive and chic atmosphere.

Mainly, it is a customized song especially completed by famous lyricists and composers, including composer Secret Weapon, who worked together with ICHILLIN’s debut song ‘GOT’YA.’

Rookie girl group ICHILLIN, who proves its true value as a ‘global super rookie,’ has started introducing its new song ‘Fresh’ in person through a question and answer.

Q. You made a quick comeback in 2 months. How do you feel?

Joonie: We’re all excited. It’s not long since the ‘GOT’YA’ activity ended. But, I think the performance and activity process is still exciting for us. Thanks to a quick comeback, we’re so excited to show our performances to our fans sooner.

Q. Please introduce your new song, ‘Fresh.’ What other situation would be good to listen to it in?

Sohee: ‘Fresh’ can feel cute, but it’s actually a hip song. If you look at the lyrics, it’s a song that shows a girl confidently moving forward in her own way without caring about others’ views or set rules. Also, I hope you can cheer up by watching ‘Fresh’ songs and performances.

Q. It’s your first comeback since your debut. What’s the difference between when you prepared for your debut and the comeback?

E.Ji: When I was a trainee preparing for my debut, everything was unfamiliar, challenging, and hectic. So, I sometimes felt overwhelmed. I was excited, but I think I was more anxious. Now that we’ve experienced the second activity, I think ICHILLIN’s teamwork of doing our best with responsibility on the performance has grown stronger. We have a small but precious mental space where we can relax and cheer up.

Q. What are the highlights and points of the new song ‘Fresh?”

Chowon: There are various appreciation points such as detailed expression, fun point choreography, and powerful performance. The ‘fresh’ point choreography is a ‘little bird dance’ that wags the tail hard. I think it is the most addictive point choreography among the various point choreographies of ‘Fresh.’

Q. If you describe ‘Fresh’ in one word, what would it be? And who do you think fits the concept the best?

Yeju: I think it’s courage in one word. When I first heard ‘Fresh,’ I thought it was a cool and bright song. But, when I heard it again, there were lyrics that could give me confidence and courage, so I thought it was ‘courage’ to wish you had courage after listening to this song. I think Jackie and Chaerin look good together. I think Jackie’s hip rap and Chaerin’s refreshing and clear vocals will deliver the song ‘Fresh’ better!

Q. What is the charm or strength of ICHILLIN that you want to show through ‘Fresh?’

Jackie: I think it’s charming to be able to show the diversity of ICHILLIN. In addition to the lively choreography with many points, I think I will be able to show you a powerful and charismatic appearance, unlike ‘GOT’YA’ in the rap and intense dance break. Also, the charm of ‘Fresh’ is that it can show you a voice style different from the mid-low tone from the introduction of ‘Fresh.’

Q. What are the goals or modifiers you want to achieve through this activity?

Chaerin: Through this activity, we want to show the public and fans a new and fresh appearance with a more relaxed, enjoyable, and upgraded performance and a more mature appearance than the previous ‘GOT’YA’ activity. We want the modifier ‘IChHILLIN Concept.’ We want to grow to express the colors and feelings of ICHILLIN in one new word.
