FNC Entertainment announced on November 24 that they would work with The Pangea on the ‘Moment of Artist’ project that issues artist-related digital content as a non-fungible token (NFT).
‘Moment of Artist’ is a platform that produces video content containing meaningful moments of various artists in Korea as digital collectors and sells it to global fans on December 1.
Pangea, a blockchain technology and content planning startup consisting of Kim & Chang’s fintech team and Google, and LINE Blockchain, a blockchain network of global mobile platform Line, participated in the project together. Based on their experience developing the NFT Marketplace Canvarse, Pangea is in charge of developing the ‘Moment of Artist’ platform, while NFT purchased from ‘Moment of Artist’ is recorded on the line blockchain. Pangea and Line plan to support the spread of K-content to users worldwide based on blockchain technology.
The first artist to participate in the ‘Moment of Artist’ project is SF9, an artist from FNC. In time for SF9’s comeback, which released its 10th mini-album ‘RUMINATION’ on November 22, content containing precious moments of the members was produced as digital collectors. This content will not be just a still image, but content that can only be experienced digitally. It includes handwriting written by members, objects reflecting SF9’s worldview, and music video-making videos.
In addition, they will provide digital collectibles free of charge to 9,999 fans who have applied in advance since November 19 so that fans unfamiliar with the concept of NFT and digital collectibles can easily experience it. After its official launch on December 1, ordinary members can also purchase NFTs on the ‘Moment of Artist’ website.
FNC Entertainment CEO Seokjoon Ahn said, “This project is a line blockchain-based global NFT project. It is meaningful in that it is the starting point of spreading outstanding K-content worldwide in the form of NFT. We expect to provide new opportunities for fans to interact with artists.”
