Kpop group BLACKPINK’s ‘How You Like That’ music video has occupied the 1 billion view mark on YouTube. It added meaning as it broke the new record of the Kpop girl group music video. This is BLACKPINK’s fifth time reaching a billion views.
According to YG Entertainment, the music video of ‘How You Like That’ surpassed 1 billion views on YouTube at 11:11 am on November 12. It is about 505 days after its release on June 26 last year. Also, it follows BLACKPINK’s another mega-hit song, ‘DDU-DU DDU-DU.’
The music video achievement period (514 days) has been shortened by nine days.
As a result, BLACKPINK will have a total of more than 5 billion views music videos. It includes ‘DDU-Du-DDU-DU’ (1.7 billion views), ‘Kill This Love’ (1.4 billion views), ‘Boombayah’ (1.3 billion views) ), ‘As If It’s Your Last’ (1 billion views), and ‘How You Like That.’
Notably, the ‘How You Like That’ music video is breaking the records of the first, highest, and shortest Kpop billion views set by ‘DDU-DU DDU-DU.’
So, it is gaining more attention to future trends.
‘How You Like That’ has an impressive, intense beat. It is a song that contains the message of flying high under any circumstances. At the 2020 MTV Video Music Awards in the US, BLACKPINK won the ‘Song of The Summer.’

The popularity of ‘How You Like That’ was also confirmed on various global charts representing the mainstream pop market. It ranked second in the Spotify global top 50 chart.
