Kpop group KINGDOM is creating a sensation on the US iTunes charts just one day after their album’s release. KINGDOM (Dann, Arthur, Mujin, Louis, Ivan, Jahan, and Chiwoo) released their 3rd mini-album, ‘History Of Kingdom: Part III. IVAN on October 21. It topped the US iTunes dance album chart right after its release. Then, the title song ‘Black Crown’ topped the US iTunes K-pop chart.
In addition, it was able to enter the top 10 on iTunes charts in 10 countries. It includes iTunes in the UK, France, Australia, and Mexico. Not only this, but KINGDOM also proved its extraordinary popularity by adorning domestic and foreign charts and overseas media headlines during the album’s release. It is unusual for a rookie idol group in the 8th month of their debut to show a sharp rise in popularity in North America. They are proving to be the 4th generation idol ‘Special Dark Horse.’
The title song ‘Black Crown’ is an epic dance-pop song that crosses a magnificent orchestra sound. Sagang Lee of Zanybros directed the music video. It beautifully and intensely captures the situation in which Ivan, divided into good and evil, inevitably uses the power of absolute evil in a fierce confrontation.
In addition to the title song, the new album contains six songs, showing the Kpop group KINGDOM’s unique narrative and message. Mainly, the album contains ‘Fallen Star’ and ‘On Air,’ written and composed by members Dann and Mujin. The two expressed their musical growth and sincerity.
