EXO Chanyeol Donates 16 Million Won To ‘Snail of Love’ To Help Support Deaf Children

EXO Chanyeol

The Snail of Love (Chairman Minja Kim) is an association that supports the hearing impaired. They announced that the Kpop group EXO member Chanyeol, who is serving in the military, donated the cost of cochlear surgery for deaf children.

EXO Chanyeol’s sharing has been going on steadily since the beginning of this year. Chanyeol applied for regular support to Snail of Love in January of this year. He said that he would like to support artificial cochlear surgery for deaf children. While making regular donations every month, EXO Chanyeol also made additional donations amounting to 16 million won three times back in February, July, and October.

With the support of EXO’s Chanyeol, two deaf children can hear sounds through cochlear implant surgery. One child has already undergone surgery and is undergoing speech rehabilitation. The second child will undergo surgery soon.

An official from the Snail of Love said, “The second most common disability is hearing impairment. Every year, 1 to 2 out of 1,000 newborns are born with hearing loss. But, even these children can hear and speak after undergoing cochlear implant surgery. EXO Chanyeol’s interest and donations are a great strength for families suffering from hearing impairment in economically difficult circumstances. I want to thank EXO Chanyeol Park for his generous donations for deaf children even while he is serving in the military.”

Meanwhile, Snail of Love is currently conducting a ‘Sound Gift’ campaign to help support deaf people with cochlear implant surgery and speech rehabilitation treatments. For more information, please visit the Snail of Love website.
