BTS Wins 2 Awards In The ‘2021 MTV VMA Japan’

The Kpop group BTS is writing a new record. BTS won two awards at the 2021 MTV Video Music Awards Japan (MTV VMAJ).

According to an announcement on the official website of ‘MTV VMAJ’ on October 29, BTS won ‘Best Group Video/International’ at this year’s awards ceremony for ‘Butter.’

Also, they won the Best Collaboration Video/International for its song ‘My Universe’ in collaboration with Coldplay.

As a result, BTS enjoyed winning the award for the fourth consecutive year from 2018 to this year. Starting with ‘Best Group Video/International’ in 2018, they won the ‘Best Buzz Award’ in 2019. Also, they received the ‘Best Group Video/International’ award last year for ‘Dynamite.’

This year is the first time the Kpop group BTS won two awards in the ‘MTV VMAJ.’

The 2021 MTV VMAJ selected the best works in a total of 18 categories for the music video released from October 1, 2020, to September 30, 2021. They will broadcast the award-winning music video special from 9 pm on November 3. Then, the awards ceremony will take place on November 25 and will be broadcast on MTV JAPAN at 7 pm on December 18.

Meanwhile, ‘MTV VMAJ’ is the Japanese version of the largest music awards ceremony in the United States and held annually since 2002.
